I saw this in RealSimple magazine and thought I would share. (It’s a really great magazine.)
Gently place an egg in a bowl of water.
- If the egg sinks to the bottom and lies on its side, it’s fresh
- If the egg sinks and stands large side up, you better eat your eggs fast because they’re on the verge of going bad.
- If the eggs floats, its bad.
I was delighted to find this because I have often been frustrated with my eggs’ austere countenance.
