I spent the loveliest Thanksgiving holiday in New York City with some of my best friends. On my long and painful megabus ride home, I thought about how lucky I am to have such great friends who inspire me to be a better person, in small and big ways.

Thank you, Katie, for making me a more sensitive and honest person through your great example.

Thank you, Sarah, for being a source of cheerful light despite the troubled times. I am constantly push myself to see how I can be more joyful & bright in my own life (especially when interacting with other people).

Thank you, Carissa, for being so knowledgeable on so many things and teaching me how to be aware of social issues. You also have taught me how to be a good friend (still workin’ on it).

Thank you, Igor, for being one of the most effortlessly kind persons I know. I suspect you’re totally oblivious to the amount of small kindnesses you distribute throughout the day and I’m convinced that meeting you years ago made me a nicer person.

Thank you, Shanna, for absolutely always being delightful and passionate about what you do. For you sincerity and humor!

Thank you, Savannah, for being such a constant friend throughout since middle school, always welcoming and excited for new things!

Thank you, friends from CMU, for being such an inspiration for continual hard work and creativity.
