I usually don’t go to movies because I see a lot for free at UW ($9! Highway robbery), but for some reason, during winter break movie-seeing was all the rage with my friends. Here are the movies I saw.
True Grit | This has been my favorite so far. Another Coen brother’s film. It was rough-tough, action packed, and funny (It’s not as menacing as the trailer makes it out to be). Highly recommend. [Rotten Tomatoes]
The Fighter | Another good movie. Pretty manly, but at least it had a plot. [Rotten Tomatoes]
The Tourist | I went to see this with my mom. I had to convince her that she would not understand Black Swan and we came too late for The King’s Speech. I actually enjoyed it. It was a better mix of action-romance that I am used to seeing. [Rotten Tomatoes]
Tron | This was not my idea. I wouldn’t recommend seeing it.
And the movie that I thought looked really cute that I want to see is Rio. It’s about a bird.
