  • “Tracing Skylines” – Skiing in Detroit’s abandon buildings.

    mondaymovies-01

One of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time. But as you’re watching you see them pile cement blocks, and broken pieces of wood with a thin layer of snow on top to build a ramp to jump over a pile of broken glass….and I’m thinking that I would literally cry if I saw any of my friends doing this.

    (found via).

  • 5: winter memories

01| My siblings and I being the only little kids in the family so getting ALL of the presents :)

02| Making igloos in the backyard with my brother and sister

03| Getting a red sled with a tiny chair and brakes. (also going sledding for the first time was pretty cool!)

04| Not being able to open up the sliding door because of our mittens and the cold. We would bang on the door and scream and ring the doorbell until my mom let us in. Kids are so cute! (She would have hot tea waiting for us too).

05| Always starting a snowman, but giving up before it’s done. I did make a snow woman once though.

    Happy Holidays.

  • 5: Goals for winter break

I’ve found that I’m usually over-ambitious with all the things that I can accomplish over breaks, so I’m going to try to restrain myself  this time.

01 | Update my website by taking some photos of the real print-outs and mock ups. Maybe dabble in teaching myself some CSS/HTML. One day I’ll like to have an HTML version too. By the way, I just had to renew my website: $190 for two years. Ouch!

02 | Fiddle with some yarn. I need to tuck in the loose bits of my blanket still and then it will be completely completely done. And I’m also very interested in learning how to knit socks.

03 | Art. I would love to submit a fine art piece to the Annual Student Juried Exhibition that UW does. The question is: do I even make art?

04 | Make some money. I am in dire need of replenishing my funds. Especially with Christmas shopping around the corner. Anyone need a something designed :)? I actually have a lot of things I can do for SimplyWell, so I should be ok.  (I do have to buy textbooks though)

05 | Catch up with my family & friends :).

What are you up to this during this holiday season?

  • It’s begining to look a lot like…

    …Christmas.

I can’t get this song out of my head when I walk around Laramie:

In other news: So, like almost all weeks, I’m warning you that I will be busy for the next two weeks so I might not be able to post as much, but I’ll try. Finals!!

  • 5: Things for winter

Ok, it’s been what, like 3 weeks now? Sorry. When I wrote this it was still warm out and now it’s below freezing so it’s more appropriate now anyway…

01| This tea mug by cupco.
I bought this one for around $10 at KMart. I love it but it’s not spill proof

02| Don’t like tea? Try this mug by oxo.
    I bought this one at Target for around $10-12. I was hesitant, but it I’m so glad I bought it now. Totally spill proof and keeps my coffee or tea toasty. {I have the brown one}

03| These long underwear. They’re silky on the outside so you can easily wear them under jeans! Maybe you only need this if you live in Wyoming or if you do winter sports though…

04| A good scarf (or two, or twenty)

05| White chocolate hot cocoa. You deserve it.

    Enjoy!
